At least your distributor's feed-in tariff plus 0.5 ct/kWh over the year, and at least the LEC reference rate, that is the price your neighbours pay minus our commission capped at 2 ct/kWh, published every 30 September: we compare the two every year and pay you the higher. The calculation covers the kWh actually consumed in the LEC; the rest of your surplus is taken back by your distributor, as today. The simulator at the top of the page puts a figure on the difference for your installation.

Through a commission capped at 2 ct/kWh on every kWh sold in the LEC. For installations of 150 kW and more it works the other way round: we first pay you the higher of the two floors, and our commission is what is left of what your neighbours pay. It can fall to zero; if it turned negative in a given year, the difference would be paid to you out of our commissions in the following years. No entry fee, no investment.

Every quarter, no later than 30 days after it ends, you receive an advance at the LEC reference rate on the kWh sold in the LEC. It is guaranteed up to CHF 1'000 per quarter; above that, it follows what consumers have paid. The annual statement, by 31 March at the latest, pays the balance when your distributor's feed-in tariff plus 0.5 ct/kWh comes out higher. A monthly statement is available in your account.

Yes, at any time and without giving a reason, with six months' notice to the end of a quarter. No minimum term, no exit fee. During the notice period your LEC electricity is paid at the lower of the two: your distributor's feed-in price or the LEC reference tariff; if WattMatch terminates, your remuneration stays whole.

Those for the kWh sold in the LEC are included in the remuneration and stay in the LEC: your neighbours consume your electricity with its origin. Those for the kWh your distributor takes back remain yours to use.

Yes. Joining a LEC changes neither your supply contract nor your supplier nor your meter. The grid-usage discount (art. 19h OApEl) is applied directly by your DSO on your bill. WattMatch coordinates everything with your DSO, you keep every existing contract.

Our part takes 2 to 3 weeks: diagnosis, participant mapping and filing the complete application with your DSO. After that the clock is in their hands, and the law gives them up to 3 months to activate the community. So allow 6 to 12 weeks in the usual case, and up to four months if your DSO uses its full deadline. WattMatch files the application, chases the DSO and keeps you posted, and you stay focused on your core business.

Even a few dozen kWh/h fed into the grid is enough for your site to join an existing LEC. To create a LEC around your installation, art. 14 EnV requires a PV capacity of at least 5% of participants' subscribed power. WattMatch runs the calculation from your peak power and the perimeter's consumption.
